Hey, I have just gotten the new macbook pro, and is changing from pc to mac. I have an eksternal harddrive from fujitsu siemens 'storage bird LAN 160GB' that is connected to my local network. It works fine with my pc, where it is mapped in windows as a local drive. But I can't get it to work on my mac. It is found in the network, but i can't connect to it - it says there is no original or that it isen't on the network, when I try!
I can connect to it as a FTP server, but i can't get to write om the harddisk, even when I set it to read/write function in the administartion modul, witch I can get into. It is formatted in FAT32, witch mac should be abel to work with - OR...? It says in the manual to the storybird, that it works with MAC OX.
Any ideas - I am pretty lost
Thanks
Morten

PS! I tried conneting it as a smb:// but that diden't work either

Could be that the drive won't mount on the Mac if it's connected to the PC. Unmount from the PC and see if the Mac will connect.

I've seen where some network drives won't mount to a Mac if their connected to a PC, but will connect to multiple PC's.
