I downloaded Iconographer for OS X today... and I tried making a Hexley icon for OS X. would you please download it and tell me if it works. thanks

It's good, but you should only add the shaddow effect on the mask. You added it on the source picture as well. The source picture needs to something more like this:

Also; when I save icons, I find it best to save them as Mac OS Universal files.

Here is my Hexley icon version 1.1 . I fixed the drop shadow... but now it is a little too dark.
