hidden files and folders

I tried installing a program, but need to inpack using stuffit deluxe. Now the program keeps telling me i allready got everthing installed, but i don't see nothing, even on the desktop folder. Is there any way that the files or folders are hidden and is there a way that i can see and delete then using terminal or something, using which command???

You should include the name of the program you installed. Did you install it in a user Application folder, or the main app folder?
