So there I am, doing my MSc in Science Communication, and what do i find, this week's work on cyberspace includes a load of stuff about Apple!. Can't believe it it, my work and home life strangely converging.

An extract:
"The superiority of the Apple Mac system ensured that Apple Computer survived much longer as a serious rival to IBM than might otherwise have been the case. Macs were also deliberately marketed as machines for the individual, the creator, the designer. They were Californian machines in an almost 1960s 'surfing and free-love' sense of the world. They therefore remain the standard machines for the media industries; design, architecture, publishing, printing animation and so on."

So now I'm just hoping i have an exam about Apple, would have to rate as one of my best educational experiences if i did. Gotta love these liberal academics, they all detest Micro$oft and use Apples. In fact, my department has 5 G4 dual 1Ghz for video editing for about 40 of us to use as well as the inevitable mass of useless windows machines.

Happy impending midwinter solstice.
