holy crap!

This will be worked out I am sure...
the way things are these days, adobe will greace Trio's paw and get done with it :p

I think this quote from www.maccentral.com is the worst, "Trio's claims are largely moot because the release of InDesign 2.0 is expected during the first quarter of 2002, the Adobe statement said. That version does not include any Trio software."

Just because a future version doesn't violate an end user agreement doesn't mean they're not liable for violations on the currently shipping software. Adobe is also admitting their wrongdoing in this statement.

How is Adobe admitting their wrongdoing in this statement? All it means is that consumers won't really be affected because InDesign 2.0 is going to be shipping soon.

I read an article on this topic too. It seems that trio thinks that 2.0 uses software that is derived from theirs. In other words, they think that Adobe enhanced their code and now claims that it belongs to Adobe.

If Adobe is found to have done that (simply enhanced Trio's code) then 2.0 will not ship either.

Here it is:
Trio's next step is to look into adding the major distributor's of InDesign to its case, as well as investigating whether InDesign 2.0 is based on a derivative of C-Index, according to Gradstein.
