How Come Safari Can't Conect to a Secure Proxy But MS Internet Explorer Can?

We have a network in our school and we track all of are grades on this website www.k12planet.com and inorder to check them you need to conect to a secure proxy but it just wont do it with Safari, even with the numbers and I know its not just that website because www.englishgrammer101.com does it do. But how come I can use the websites with MS Internet Explorer

This sounds like one of the issues that Apple still hasn't worked out of Safari. Remember, Safari is only v1 while IE is v5.
