how do I make WinXP look like OS X??

I've seen it done here before.

I currently have 10.2.6 at home and at work I'm moving from a Win98 PC to a WinXP (Professional) PC.

I've played a bit with things like Stardock.com's WindowBlinds and stuff but my old Win98 PC would slow down too much.

Now that I'm getting a new PC I'd really like to take advantage of those programs (I'd pay for the full versions) if it'll make XP look/act *close* to OS X.

I'd like to have a dock-like app to launch programs and my menus always at the top if possible. And better icons.

I'm confused by all the different software - some tweak just the look of the OS I think and others really get under the hood.

My price point is around $50. What should I buy??

Also - I'm not a programmer so I'd want to / have to use someone's free-to-download skin/theme, etc.

WindowBlinds is resource-intensive unless most of the features are switched off.

Get StyleXP. Then visit http://www.jonmega.com/~iceman and read up on EVERYTHING.

Then quickly find a good version of Y'z Dock or use StarDock's ObjectDock and get QCD player with the iTunes Skin. Then get Trillian and get SOME sort of iChat skin.

Done!

If you want to go the whole hog, you'll need to plug your Mac up to the PC and then copy the Desktop Pictures folder across, and the Beach Screensaver Resource images, then in Display Control Panel, you make an Apple Desktop Picture the Wallpaper, and you use My Pictures Slideshow screensaver, but in the Settings, point to the Folder of Beach screensaver images and set the time to 10 seconds.

Done - you have one of about a million Mac-like PCs!

Contact me on MSN/AIM/ICQ/Y! if you want to get more detailed info on doing things that you can't find on Iceman's site or around yourself.
