How do I print to File in OSX?

I'm using FH10. I don't have a printer. How do I print to file?

The only way I can seem to choose a print driver is to have an actual physical printer.

I need to run some postscript files through distiller in classic, as FH is giving my some buggy PDFs via the export command.

I would suggest browsing the menus next time, it 's rather obvious:

File - Print - Output Options (from the dropdown benu intersecting the bounding box) - Print to File.

You can also fake a ps-printer. the mac-help menu tells you how to do it. then you just pick 'preview' in the print dialog, and you get a preview in preview.app and from there it is just to save it.
Freehand 10 is osX native, right?
im stuck with FH8 :(

maybe on your machine it is. On mine, the only options in the pull down in the print dialogue are:

COPIES AND PAGES

FREEHAND 10

Decado: Thanks for the info on a faking a printer, however, I don't want to do a save-as. I need to use Distiller to do this, so I need to make a postscript file.

So...your comment on a virtual printer was just what I needed. I had to make a fake localhost printer and THEN it gave me the option for output options.

Shame on me for not RTFM. ;)
