How do I share a USB HP printer with Windows on this makeshift LAN

I have a HP DeskJet895Cse connected via usb to my powerbook. Which in turn is plugged via a hub to a PC in the same room. I want to let the PC use the printer obviously. My home network is rather unusual, so I'll try to explain the setup as detailed as I can. Hopefully somebody here can shed some light on my printing problem or at least offer some advice.

A DSL modem feeds its signal into a Netgear hub. There is only one computer on this hub, a pc running windows 2000 server, which uses WinPoet to connect to the internet (pppoe). The hub feeds another hub across the room that has 3 macs on it, the one with the printer included. Each of these macs use pppoe to connect to the internet. The PC has PCMacLAN installed, so it is able to share files with the macs. However since OSX does not let me run appletalk and my pppoe connection at the same time, appletalk is always off.

I need some suggestions, and I hope I posted this in the right forum.

There is a commercial software package called "Dave" that supposedly allows you to share a printer onto a Windows network. You will have to check with the company to see whether your printer is supported.

This printer has both USB and Parallel ports. Connect to the Mac via USB and the PC via the Parallel port. Will work fine that way.

The hubs you are refering to are USB or Ethernet? If the printer is connected to a Mac via usb and the Mac is connected to a LAN via ethernet you should be able to use the resources in CUPS to share the printer. Try searching the hints @ www.macosxhints.com for a more detailed explaination of how to share a single usb printer via CUPS with a PC.
Best Regards
