How do I stop Safari from tiling new windows?

Barking at the moon.
Is this possible? I have Safari so it takes up the entire screen, but when I click on a link that opens a new window it is slightly to the right so the scrollbar is off the screen.

I'd prefer to have the new links open up in new tabs, but stopping the tiling effect would work as well.
 
Go to Safari->Preferences->General and under "Open links from applications" choose "in the current window"

Then click the Tabs option and select "Enable tabbed browsing" and "Select new tabs as they are created." Notice that you must hold down the Apple key when clicking a link to open it in a new tab.

This takes care of over 90% of links I click and keeps them from opening in new windows.
