G3 firewire Powerbook. OSX.
Used to be (in OS9) when I recorded tapes and cd's via the mic-in you could elect whether to turn the built-in speakers off (and not hear what you were recording) or elect to leave them functioning and hear whatever it is you are recording.
Now in OSX the computer simply turns the built-in speakers off when you plug into the mic-in port. Can't find any way in the System Pref to turn them back on. I NEED to hear what it is I am recording.
Any advise? Secret keystroke?
