Due to a problem with Safari crashing, I am trying to re-install it from scratch. However I cannot find the package. It is NOT available from Apple as a download (version 1.1). I tried using the Panther install disks, but launching the installer will give me the dialog that I can't install on my hard drive because a newer version exists (10.3.2). Thus there is no way to select custom install (you don't get to that screen).
[Side question: How would I ever do an archive and install or clean install if I can't get past this screen?]
So how do I find the Safari package to see if I can extract it and install it separately?
I'm using the up-to-date CDs.
