How Remove Corrupt Folder Imap Server

HI everybody,

I have a Server OS X running a POstfix IMAp Server, and I have a Imap Client use Microsoft Entourage.
This client since the last week have a I/O error when he try to open the Sent Messages Entourage Folder.
If I open le site webmail, I have a error message when I try to open this folder.
I change Microsoft Entourage to Thunderbird mail client, and Thunderbird make a new Sent Folder, and its work perfectly, but I have the old folder of Entourage.

Do you know how I can remove this folder from the server?
When I try to delete this folder from Webmail, the same error appear I/O error, Connection Droped from IMap Server.

I thing is only on message in this folder that make this problem, but I dont need this folder so i can remove all the folder, but i dont know how. Maybe in terminal server i can go directly with a command to remove the folder.

You can find mail messages on the following location:

/var/spool/imap/user/

In this map you find maps for each user, which contain the folders you need. Removing it there will permanently remove it from the disk. This may not solve the error although. One method to try is to create the folder after removing with exactly the same name and permissions. Otherwise you might require to rebuild the mailbox. You can try that on the 10.4 server in server admin under maintenance.

Hi, before to remove the folder I make a test in my Imap Account.
I create a folder with the name TESTFOLDER with my Mail Client.
I open the server and in Command Terminal, I login how root and I open /var/spool/imap/user.
I open my user folder, I see the TESTFOLDER, and I remove with rm -r TESTFOLDER. After I rebuild my account, and I have a error I/O , when I open my mail client, and i try to access the folder,because the folder never disappear.
So I dont know how remove the folder, I tried to create the same folder in the same location, but I have the same I/O Error. I dont know hoe to create the folder with the sames permissions, and the cyradmin user.

HI everybody,

Finally I find a easy way to disappear the folder with the I/O error.

I open the Thunderbird Mail Client, and I put right click in the folder with problem.
I put the option ( to subscribe) and I unsubscribe the folder with problems. This way erase the folder from Thunderbird, and from webmail.
