How to break a large file in several smaller parts

Hi I need advices.

I have a 70 MB file that I want to email to a friend. But the email doesn't accept files larger than 10 MB. How do I cut the file in parts so that he can then rebuild the full file on his PC ?

I was used to doi that with Stuffit a few years ago, but I don't have a stuffit license anymore.

So, the point is that you want to splitt a file on your mac which can be rebuilt on a pc?

Rar files can easily get rebuilt on pc (WinRar)

If you can set up FTP on your own website you could "serve" the file to your friend and they won't have to use the email system. Hopefully they have a cable modem, though. Dialup for this would take forever and a day.

Well, if we get that far, I would have to ask: why not ichatav and aol 5.5? Filesharing works just great.
