How to clean up documents in tiger

okay, i was looking at a preview of documents in leopard and i saw the coverflow view of the docs and all there was there was documents, well on my mac i got things like ms user files from ms word and roxio saved stuff and other stuff like that, where can i put this junk so that i can have only my documents in my documents, like i want the little sidebar in the finder to only have the standard things like computer, movies , documents, but i want my documents to be able to be all clean for when i go to leopard. where can i put the other stuff?

Lots of programs like to live in your documents folder. I don't know of a way to move them without upsetting the programs, but there's one solution that may help. For your "problem folders", just create a folder with the same name, copy the icon, link it to the sidebar, delete the old link, and voila! A clean documents folder.

Yeah, that's what I do. The standard Documents folder has been poisoned with junk like you mentioned from day 1. I've created a second "Documents" folder on my Desktop, where I keep my personal files.
