i have not used Windows as a primary OS for about 7 years now all of my flash drives and external as well as internal HDDs are formatted as ext4 and XFS how can i get the Mac OS to read these drives? it would be a major inconvience to reformat all my drives as i have files on them. although i know Linux can read Mac formatted HDDs

Your Mac does not to read the flash drives. For decades now, we have had this thing called "networking." So long as you have not decommissioned your Linux machine, your Mac may have access to any drive connected to it.

yea i know that however i only know how to file share on windows (extermented with a Windows Server) however i have no clue whatsoever on how to do network sharing on OS X or Linux Networking is not my forte and when i did get the file sharing via Windows Server working it was painstakingly SLOW file transfers
