How to set up Catchall on mailbox

You mean an account that simply receives copies of all email sent to the server? You can do that in Server Admin in the Mail service and under the General Settings. You can input an email address in the bottom most field to copy all mail messages to a specific email address.

No not all mail sent to the server, but a mailbox (using virtual hosting where a number of domains are set up and a number of email accounts on each domain).

I have a number of user accounts set up for a domain forwading to a global mailbox. I also want to set up a catchall where not only the users mail goes into box but anything@domain.com goes in there too. I know it will pick up all the cr@p that gets sent in, but that is what the client wants.

You can specify a email address for any unresolved email address. If you create e.g. an anyone@... account and redirect any unresolved mail address to this account, all mail will be stored there. If you create new accounts they will not be send anymore to the anyone account, for remove accounts, mail will be redirected, so those mails are not lost,

This option in next to the copy all messages to a emailaddress in the main setup screen for MAIL in SERVER ADMIN.

Good luck, Kees

Ok... Maybe I havent explained myself fully here. I am not talking about mail sent to a server on a single domain. I am fully aware that I can set up a non-deliverable forward to an email address.

Here is what I am trying to achieve.

I have the virtual domains hosted on a server ie:
domain1.com
domain2.com
domain3.com

Domian's 1 & 2 each have six email addresses set up whereby individuals collect mail via there pop3 accounts. Any other mail sent to the domain where accounts are not set up I am not interested in.

For domain 3 I have the six email accounts set up, each one forwarding to one global mailbox (mailbox@domain3.com). How do I configure it so any other mail, as well as the set up accounts is collected by (or fowarded to) the global mailbox, mailbox@domain3.com. I am also aware that this will collect all unsolicoted mail as well sent to anything@domain3.com)

The purpose of setting up the one global mailbox on domain3.com is so an Exchange server can pull all the mail down and do the distributing at the client end.

Hope that explains it a bit better.

I do not know how it is with virtual domains, but the procedure described by some of us before would most likely work.

Are the different domains handled differently (so e.g. different accounts for the different domains).

Good luck Kees

You can specify an emailaddress where copies are send to. Make this an emailaddress in the third domain and all mail will be copied in there to.
