I am trying to setup my OSX (10.2.4) machine to allow FTP connections for verious users. I am using SharePoints (http://www.hornware.com/sharepoints/) to create the users and groups. All is PERFECT when the connections come in as a AFP, but are refused by any FTP client ie Transmit, Fetch, etc. or SMB type connections.
I can get ftp to work if I create a user through the Accounts Panel in the System Preferences, but when that user logs in, they can see the whole harddrive if they back out of their home dirrectory... SCARY!!!
Has anyone found a way to allow FTP or SMB access to OSX to a specific folder without access to other folders???
