How to share an Internet connection from a PC to a Mac

Hi all

I need help as I've been trying to sort this out for days with no success.

I have a PC running Windows XP and a G4 Mac running OS Tiger. I have connected the PC to the Mac using a crossover cable. My PC is set up to receive a wireless internet connection from our wireless router - which is in another room and so it's not possible to connect the mac directly to it. So I thought it should be easy enough to share the internet connection between the PC and Mac

How wrong was I?

Is there a way to do this?

I found this post post1329276 a minute ago in another forum section as it kind of relates, but I'm not able to do what the person suggests...

Any help muchly appreciated.

You'll need to turn on Internet sharing in the "Sharing" preference pane in the Mac's System Preferences. You might also have to reboot the Windows machine or wait several minutes before Windows acquires an IP from the Mac.
