I did post this in another thread, but have read so many posts from people wanting to use their PetiScan with OSX, that I thought it would help to post as a new thread.
I finally got my PetiScan to work on a PowerBook G3 & iBook G4. First I made sure I had the 'System Folder' from the OS9 on my Hard Dr. Then I just installed Presto PageManager. I drug the 'Install PetiScan' from the disk onto my desktop & installed it from there, after removing the CD. Then I manually put the plug-in into the PageManager plug ins folder. Started up PageManager & under 'File' clicked on 'Select Source' & chose plug-ins, NOT the Twain. Then clicked on "Aquire" & to my surprise the scanner popped right up. I'm not sure what made it work but it does & that's what matters. I'm using OS X.4.8.
