Adding a spoken command for keyboard shortcut
Make the application active and say, "Define a keyboard command." Press the keys for the keyboard shortcut then say, "Save."

Type the words you want to use for the command in the text box and select whether to use it just in the active application or globally.

Copy an icon
Option + drag

Align icons
command + drag

Create an alias to an icon
command + Option + drag

Open a folder in a separate window
command + double-click

List view, open a folder
Option + Right Arrow

List view, close a folder
Option + Left Arrow

List view, open all the folders in the selected folder
command + Option + Right Arrow

To take a picture of the whole screen, press Command-Shift-3.

To take a picture of part of the screen, press Command-Shift-4 then drag to select the area you want in the picture.

To take a picture of a window, menu bar, the Dock, or other area, press Command-Shift-4 then press the Space bar. Move the pointer over the area you want so that it's highlighted, then click.


The picture is saved as a Preview PDF file on the Desktop. If you want the picture saved on the Clipboard, hold down the Control (ctrl) key with the keys shown above.

Add a bookmark to the Bookmark bar
Drag the page icon from the address box to the bar

Add a bookmark to the Bookmark menu
Open the page then press Command + Shift + D

Move a bookmark on the Bookmark bar
Drag the bookmark left or right

Remove a bookmark from the Bookmark bar
Drag the bookmark off the top of the bar

Change the name or address of a bookmark in the All Bookmark view
Click to select the bookmark and press Return

Select the next bookmark name or address to change it
Press the Tab key

Complete editing the text of a bookmark
Press the Return key

Delete a bookmark in the All Bookmark view
Select it and press Delete

Scroll up, down, left, or right
Press an arrow key

Scroll a larger increment
Press Option + an arrow key

Scroll down a screen
Press the Space bar

Scroll up a screen
Press Shift + the Space bar

Open a page in a new window
Press Command + click a link or bookmark

Open a page in a new window behind the current window
Press Shift + Command + click a link or bookmark

See a list of the last ten pages by name
Press the Back or Forward button

See a list of the last ten pages by address
Press Option + the Back or Forward button

See a downloaded file in the Finder
Click the icon next to the file in the Download window
 
Have you noticed what you get if you control-click the window title in Safari? I'm not quite sure how to describe it, except as a list of higher points in the directory structure of the current address. Handy, though. :)
