[HOWTO] - Removing extra photoshop "Open With" options.

I recently had a problem in which 15 or so photoshop "droplets" would appear in the "Open with" menu when I control-clicked on images. The way to fix this is to find the "droplets" directory in /applications/photoshop/samples, and delete it (i made an archive of it, so I can install them later if i want to). more information is available here (http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20030207065422748)

I had that, but most of the files were .exe so I deleted them.

They have exe. as extention but will work on your mac!

Thanks Dan the man I am your fan! It cleaned up my open with menu niffty, I appended .sit to the folder instead of deleting them. Now if I just can find a way the remove 2 of the 3 BBedits in that menu, life would be mine.

just to clarify, the hint is actually wrong. the presets folder is all the settings within photoshop itself. don't delete this, obviously. instead delete photoshop/samples/droplets.

Very cool solution to this anoying thing!!
But I'm questioning myself: do I really will need these droplets someday?
I'm working with PS since version 2 to today's CS2 and never used'em!

I have an old and new version of Photoshop.

When I right-click on an image and choose "Open With..." both versions show up. Is there any way to make the old one not show up without deleting it?
