Ever since purchasing the HP 2600n ColorLaserjet a few months ago, I have struggled to get it working the way I would like. I have a 2GHz PowerPC G5 iMac with Mac OS X 10.4.6 and a G4 PowerBook with 10.3.9. They both use an Airport Express. I would like the printer connected to the Airport. I am using the latest driver downloaded from the HP website. I initially could not get the printer working anywhere, either directly connected to the iMac via USB or through the Airport. It exhibited some of the same problems described in other threads related to this printer. Recently, it was working only when connected directly to the iMac via USB. Today, I moved it downstairs to the Airport. When I try to add the printer using the Printer Setup Utility, the application hangs. It shows up in the printer browser window with a Bonjour connection. The name is correct, the Location lists the name of the Airport Express station, and the Print Using drop down lists "HP Color LaserJet 2600n". When I hit the Add button, it hangs. Any suggestions on what to do next?
Thanks,
Jim
