HP Laserjet 1012 intel driver?

I have a nice old hp 1012 laserjet, works great, but when I go to add it as a printer (its connected through a readynas) I can't find the 1012 listed as an available printer type in the Printer Setup Utility.

Any thoughts?

Have you downloaded the Tiger update for your printer?

What do you mean by "works great"? If you mean that it works when using a different connection, then this is probably at the heart of your problem. Presumeably, you are trying to connect via your printer's USB driver, but you have a network connection. This won't work. You have to use a CUPS/Gutenprint driver instead. This issue comes up and gets answered every two or three hourse on this forum. A quick search will yield the solution.
