I have an odd experience happening with my recently purchased HP Photosmart 3110 and my Mac home network.
First, I have 2 AEBS updated to latest firmware and one AEX. One of the AEBS is connected to my Adelphia Cable modem. I have two laptops and one desktop.
I recently installed HP's latest driver (7.7.2) for the printer so I could set it up on the wireless network. The printer is on the network because I can type the ip address into my browser and access it. However, when I run the setup assistant from HP it does not work correctly.
I scan for tcp/ip and it finds the printer and the address, but once I select it to add, it doesn't find the device. I have tried it on multiple computers some with 10.4.4 and 10.4.5.
I called HP and we deleted and reinstalled everything. After going through it, they said it was on the network and accessible but that my Airport network was blocking it someway, perhaps with a firewall.
I do not have a firewall up, but it got me to thinking that because I have a WDS network that shares one ip enabling NAT and DHCP, that this was the problem. That said, I have spent countless hours on this problem and it appears to be a network problem but I have no idea how to proceed from here.
