HP scanners not working (Hp scanjet 4570

I was using the 4570 on a MacBook Pro (two yr old) with reasonable success, then I added the HP C4280- it allowed me to print but could not scan. I have done multiple trials of software deletions/reinstall and now none of the products work.

I see various posts on the net about problems with HP but I need an authoritative and clear source. What's the story with HP products and Mac?

By the way the C4280 came with the MacBook Pro- I was just slow in setting it up.

It is curious that you did not state which version of MacOS X you are running. That said, you should download and install the driver that is appropriate for your OS. The drivers for your AIO are available here.
