I bought a battery for my ibook m2453 and doesn't detect it which is not a oem batter

You might want to reset the PMU (power manager) You can go to Apple support to get the info on how to do it,or just google "Clamshell IBook PMU reset". Hope this helps!
From Apple "Battery Verification
When the power adapter is being used, the ring around the power adapter port glows green when the battery is fully charged. The ring glows amber if the battery is being charged.
You can also check the battery status by looking at the Battery portion of the control strip or the battery symbol in the upper right corner of the Finder menu bar.
Power Adapter Verification
Try using a known-good power adapter if the computer cannot run off the existing one, or try the existing power adapter with another iBook or G3 Series PowerBook
Under normal operation, the ring around the power adapter port will glow green or amber if the computer is receiving adequate power.
Power Manager Reset
±Warning: Resetting the power manager permanently erases and removes a RAM disk. Resetting the power manager also resets the date and time.
iBook computers have a reset button on the keyboard above the power button. Press the button once with a paper clip to reset the power manager. Make sure the button clears the plastic of the top case when you release it, and is not stuck in the down position."

It didn't work, and I'm not using oem power supply and not oem battery.
Funny is that if I use another one it would charge but it try to but its a dead
battery. So maybe I just have a bad battery. Would a none oem and oem battery make any difference? So I tried command way and reseting power manager and all that stuff doesn't work for heck.
Well,if the other battery tries to charge then I would say you got a bad one. Looks like the seller has a 30 day no questions asked return policy and a 1 year warranty.Send it back!
Also most batteries today are from China or assembled from Chinese made components!
Yes I wont worry about Chinese stuff after all, most things we buy that we buy without looking where it made most likely be made in china. I should be good returning. But why would it say to update my bios on a piece of paper? Apple don't have bios. LOL
