I connected my ibook(OSX) via firewire to my imac(0s9) to transfer a large(8gb) file - I dragged the file to the imac/docs folder, I could see it on the imac and it was gone from the ibook. I disconnected and rebooted the ibook only to find that the file was indeed not there but the Harddisk space was still being used.
I ran a finder, omnidisksweep & easyfind but could not find the file. I connected the book back to the mac and used the macs finder to search for the file, and yes there it is all 8gb for it, but the docs have no directory, which seems very odd to me,
they are in the ibook but the ibook cant see them, the imac can see them but can't grab them or delete them
any ideas please
