Micro center opened a new store in the detroit area this weekend and had the indigo imac on sale for 499.00 for the first 50 customers per day (fri sat sun)
so i get there at 7 for a 10 am opening today. i found out that the shipment was screwed up, and instead of getting a 500 with 128 mb ram and 20 GB, we get the graphite 600 with 256 and 40 GB!!!!!

500 for a 1000 dollar system!!!! I am very very happy!!!!

oh, and i got an smc barricade 4 port router for 19.99 (its supposed to be a refurb, but looks new to me!)

I get the adc student discount and my price doesnt come close to what i paid today.

sorry for bragging, but i needed to.

That's the same price as people pay for 3 years old, used 266 MHz iMacs in Norway

I bought my iBook last month after reading that Apple and Circuit City were parting ways. I went to 3 different Circuit City's on a Saturday. One store had a G3 500mhz and they would sell it to me for $1000. One store didn't have any left and the last store had a G3 600mhz that they would sell to me for $1150.

Then the following Tuesday at work, I read that a Circuit City near my work was closing down. I went there at lunch and asked if they had any Mac's left. They had a demo G3 500mhz iBook marked down to $999 and then marked down to $850 since it was an open item. I bought it on the spot. I also got an airport card for $50.
