I have macbook Air with Leopard 10.5.2, actually I bought from a friend that he forget the admin pwd, but every time I start the mac it log in automatically, once I am in if I tried to change any system preference it woks fine until I reboot the system, I loose the settings and everything goes back to the original settings.
I started the system single-user mode changed the root pwd and the user with auto login, started ok I installed Microsoft Office standard, managed to run powerpoint , word and eveything went fine, the problem is after reboot everything was gone, no microsoft office no password and auto login is there.
