I lost my applications folder

By mistake I deleted my Applications folder from my dock. I have found most of my applications and put them back but some, like PS Elements will not work now.
 
I think you are going about this wrong.
Just find your applications Folder under your Hard Drive and drag it to the Dock, this will restore the link which you lost from your Dock.
The applications folder in your Dock was only just a pointer to the Real applications folder on your Hard drive.
