i need to zip some files

how can i put a lot of file (lets sey ten) in one file - like winzip in windows. is have mac os 9 and i am working with it not very long... so i need a special program, where can i get it .... better would be if it is already in the mac os or its freeware..
i need to open that zip file after also in windows...
i hope somebody can help me... thank you

Download ZipIt, its shareware or freeware I think.

Stuffit will also create zip archives using its DropZip utility.
