Colonel Panic
Apple sez that iPhoto supports the SanDisk Imagemate. Well NOT THE SMARTMEDIA VERSION it doesn't. Thanks a load, Apple. Perhaps you should revise your blithe, reassuring text that says "Incidentally, theres no need to worry if your digital camera isnt currently compatible with iPhoto, because you can also import photos directly from your cameras memory card with a USB Memory Card Reader."
Sure, sure, it's not Apple's responsibility to come up with drivers for 3rd-party hardware. But if they're going to claim ease of use and broad compatibility, they should follow through.
And Microtech continues to dawdle with the 10.1.2-compatible version of their drivers. How hard can it possibly be??? They can't have changed the OS **THAT** much.
So neither of my two smartmedia readers will work, and I'll be d@mned if I'm buying ANOTHER one.
Microtech, Sandisk, and darn it, APPLE: GET THE LEAD OUT.
Hardware & software vendors of the world take heed: if you don't support OSX, YOU DON'T SUPPORT MACINTOSH.
