I want a Saitek Eclipse Illuminated Keyboard

Has anyone done this yet? I think I will need a powered USB hub for the keyboard but what about all my preriferals that I have hooked up now that originate out of the G4? Will I need another unpowered hub or a pci card.

And will I need software for the keyboard or will it work with Mac?

Or better yet does anyone have a better idea for illuminated keyboards?

G4 350 mhz, Tiger, no problems now with any of my periferals at this time.

What would you do?

As for USB power issues: you will need either a powered hub or a USB port on the computer itself. You can plug your peripherals into a powered hub, no problem, as they are designed to expect power on the USB port anyway.

You shouldn't need any extra software.

I don't know much about the quality of the keyboard, though - I've never actually seen or used a Saitek one. There are other illuminated keyboards out there - you'll find a dozen at any computer market or gamers' website. I'd plan to test it out before you buy as all keyboards feel different and its really the feel of the keyboard that will decide whether you end up loving it or hating it, in the long run.
