I just bought a very cheap G3 ibook (10.1.3) in the optimistic hope I could upgrade it in some way to handle my Office for Mac output on my Imac 10.4.11. I am confused by the jargon, but realize I need to upgrade the memory at least.

Did I make a wrong decision to buy this laptop and is there any options for me to get more out of it?

Do not confuse your computer with the operating system that shipped with it. I strongly recommend that you upgrade your OS to MacOS X 10.4.11. However, you may need to upgrade the RAM and hard drive. Both are readily available from vendors that support Macs.

Seen through a strictly economic lens, my recommendations do not make economic sense. However, you have a Mac that apparently is in good working order. Sometimes, economics take a back seat to passion.
