iBook g4 won't start

Hey, I'm a new Mac user. I just got a two year old iBook g4. It worked fine for a month, then, a few days ago it started having troubles booting up.

When I hit the power button, the fan turns on and I hear the startup chime, then the computer goes directly to a light blue screen (no words on it, just blank blue.) Nothing happens after that. I let it sit for two hours one day in hopes that it would get past that blue screen, but it didn't.

I know nothing about computers, so I have no idea how to fix this problem. I googled some stuff, and based off of my findings I reset the PRAM and the PMU. I've tried to restart it in safe mode and do something called an fsck. None of those have been helpful in getting past the blue screen. It just stays stuck no matter how many times I restart it, take out the battery, or do anything else I can think of.

Can someone please help me?

Pretty please can someone help? I am a student and am working on a class project that I really need my computer for. The library computer (currently using) won't help me on my project.

Do you have the discs that came with that iBook? You can boot off of one of them and then hold down the Option key when you hear the startup chime. You'll be presented with some bootup options. One of them should be the Apple Hardware Test. Select that and let the Apple Hardware Test run its course. That should tell you if there are any hardware problems.
