iBook - Run From Batt or AC?

I have an iBook, and I am curious as to how to prolong the life of my iBook's battery. Should I have the AC cable connected whenever possible. Or, should I charge my battery, discconnect the AC adapter from the iBook as soon as batt is fully charged, use up the battery's energy and repeat the process? Is there a limit as to how many times a batt may be charged?

The lithium-ion battery has zero memory effect, so there is no need to worry about how you use it. (According to NexEnergy's battery reference guide)
