iBook Trackpad problem

I have one of the new iBooks (specs in signiture), and the trackpad seems to randomly freeze. It doesn't seem to do it when I am doing anything in particular, just whenever it feels like annoying me. (Freakily like something M$, if you ask me)
What happens is that the pointer stops moving. It will usually work if I, for example, use two fingers. The interesting thing is that it starts working again after a few seconds.
Maybe I have some sort of system conflict?
This sounds really weird to me, has anyone else had this problem?

By the way, I am using OS 10.2.3.

Have you gone to the trackpad control panel in the system preferences? If you set it to respond faster, maybe it will correct itself.

I didn't think of doing that, but strangely enough, it seems to have stopped for the time being :\
