ichat, photobooth, iphoto are not openin

when i go to open ichat. photobooth and iphoto they do not open they bounce up and down like they want to open but they just stop like i never clicked on it to open. what do i do to fix it
 
What version of Mac OS X?
What version of those apps?
What does Console show when htey fail to open?
