idisk backup

I have just started bacing up my files to idisk but every time I attempt it I encounter a problem. I have enough space but at the "uploading" stage the tranfer gets about 20% done, stops and starts again. I can never complete the backup. Is this something I am doing wrong?

I have tried it a million ways but I can't get backup 3.1 to backup more than one file at a time. If i try more than that I get a cannot upload error message. I can do a little better with a direct drag to the idisk but again no more than a few files. Obviously the problem isn't my ip or I couldn't connect at all. From what I've read pple doesn't seem to acknowledge any problems with idisk or backup.
