idvd not encoding audio

I am trying to burn a dvd from a slide show inside of imovie.

There are about 750 still images and 30 music changes. I am able to burn just the video, but idvd will not encode the audio. I do not have any music purchased from itunes in the show. I was able to burn 5 songs as a test when I started this project, and another time I tried burning the second half of the music. When I went to try to burn the audio from the first half of the show, it would not encode the audio.

I am not sure what to do next. I have tried burning one to five songs, but I am not able to get the audio to encode.

I am working with iLife 6 software, on an iMac G4.

when you select burn in iDVD and it gets to the encoding audio part of the job does it look like it isn't responsive and does it give you the little spinning beach ball?
 
Booker, please don't resurrect more threads that haven't been posted in years if you have no other input in them than to a) spam about Audation or whatever software is within your commercial scope, and b) to post an one liner in some of the other resurrected threads to tell you have a similar problem or don't have a clue.
I would like to think of you just as a nice, regular person, who just happens to be excited about some software. But surely your interests can't be related to just every single post in the 10 years of this forum that had ever anything audio related posted in them?
