Been running into this problem often lately. Wondering if anyone else has seen it. Have a trouble ticket opened with Adobe but this forum is so much better and more helpful!
Illustrator 10/11 running from either OS 9.2.2 or OS 10.2.8 ... intermittently not saving files to W2K server (Service Pack 4). Getting "File Not Found" error. Can do a "Save As" and create a new file to another directory or local hard drive and that works perfectly fine. Can't save that file or a copy of that file in its home directory.
Also, the uneditable file left behind cannot be deleted using Mac - must got to Windows machine and delete.
A further related issue is the sudden appearance of "AI Temp" files that are quite large - showing up in the directories of these other corrupt files. These temp files also must be deleted by a Windows machine.
Was testing G5 Panther box yesterday and started experiencing the same thing in Illustrator 11.
Totally intermittent ... not all files and not all the time. Real hard to track a constant thread through this problem.
PS: Connecting to server thru AFP as well as SMB when in OS X ... same thing appears to occur either way. Very bizzare.
