I cant figure out how to upload videos from my digital camera. When I plug it into the computer, all my photos go directly to iphoto, no problem. But my videos stay on the camera. I have a samsung s630. When I had a kodak camera, the videos would go to quicktime. I could find them by typing ".avi" now I can't figure out how to get my videos out of the camer and onto my mac! Will somebody please help a computer-challenged mom?

Normally, iPhoto will suck up the videos as well. Not sure why it's not. However, if you can see them in the Finder, you can manually copy them anywhere you like, including to iPhoto.

Perhaps an older version of iTunes, hence not offering to move those videos...?

Open a new window in Finder. If you can browse the contents of the camera, you should see all the .avi files in it. Drag and drop (or copy) those files to anywhere on your Mac - your Movies folder, or another folder, or create a temporary folder for them at desktop.

After the files are on your Mac, you can delete the files from the camera (itself, or via Finder). If you delete the files with Finder, empty the trash to get back the space.
