iMac Dual 2.0 17'
On the release date of Tiger, my B-day, I was excited to get Tiger on my PB 800 dvi. Fedex screwed up my address and I had to physically go get the package. When I came back, my PB was died. After trouble shooting, and some tech help, it was determined that my logic board had deceased.
Determined to use Tiger, I got my old G3 imac 400 out, and installed Tiger. Overall, it works on this old system, while I wait to get a new PB this week.
Tiger really pushes this system hard. I have 192 mb of memory. The system pushes along slowly. I get the beach ball often, and multi-tasking chokes the system. M$ office 2004, particularly word, has trouble redrawing scroll bars, etc. Safari also has trouble redrawing the scroll bar.
I guess I can't complain, this G3 has treated me well. I realize, this Imac is as far as it is going to go, with new releases of OSX, or other software. I can't wait to see what Tiger can do on a new system.![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
