Imac G4 having Kernel Panic

Hello,

My imac G4 is having a regular kernel panic which started around the time some visiting kids decided to put a mouse in each usb port on my keyboard. All of a sudden I was getting the grey screen of death on a regular basis.

Details of my mac are:

Machine Name: iMac

CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (2.1)

CPU Speed: 800 MHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 256 KB
Memory: 768 MB
Bus Speed: 100 MHz

Running OSX 10.4.11

Have done an archive and reinstall, have freed up some disk space. I have run TOP and virtual memory runs at 3 -4 gb, have around 8 gb of free space.

When I restart I get the following information in a report:

Can anyone out there please help me understand what could be causing this problem?

Oh and I have also run the tech diagnosis software that came with my new imac, but it found no problems.

From the crash report it looks like a USB problem in the keyboard (the USBHub reference). Try unplugging everything from the computer except the keyboard and mouse and make sure they are both connected directly to the computer, rather than the mouse through the keyboard. If the problem persists when they are independently connected, it's unlikely to be the hub in the keyboard at fault. If that fixes it however, try it in each of the keyboard USB ports to figure out if one works over the other. You can then decide if you want to replace the keyboard, or use the mouse plugged into a different USB port or USB Hub.
 
Are you able to try a different OS, like a bootable external drive, to determine if it is hardware or software?? com.apple.driver.AppleUSB might just need to be reinstalled via an Archive and Install from the original OS CDs.
 
That advice saved my computer!!!!! Now it works again. I had one no name mouse and it caused all the troubles. After change, it all works ok!
