iMac mail won't stop resending an email

I need help!! I tried sending out an email with Mac Mail that had 82 iPhotos attached...it wouldn't send which is fine because I found other means to send them on a different computer. The problem is that the same email I initially tried to send keeps resending over and over again and is hindering being able to get incoming mail. The photos have been deleted off the computer, and I have repeatedly tried to delete the email and move it to trash, and empty trash.....but the email keeps resurrecting and trying to resend. How do I stop this email nightmare? Thank you, Megan
 
Try this: Finder > Go > User > Library > Mail > Outbox to see if you can identify and isolate the 'rogue' email and delete it from there. Do it with Mail closed (quit) and offline.

I don't use Mail myself but I've tracked down where the mailboxes are located.
