Image Help: Smothing Out Gloss.

I've attached a image that I'm working on for a potental website, but I'm having a problem getting the shine smooth out. It seems kind of rough at the edge. Any advice on how to go about smoothing it out? (i'm using gimp)

Never mind, got to thinging about it,and decided I would try to feather it. Looks much better now.

Yup. Another option is to add noise, guassian mode, at about 2-5%. That takes the edge off a pixelated curve.
