iMovie3 or IDvd Sync Problem

Ok I make a movie with iMovie3. I have it just the way I want and try to put it on a DVD with the new iDVD which now supposedly ingrated with iMOvie. Afte the 1 hour burn process I find the video and audio are out of sync.
I have called Apple on this and they gave me some work arounds for this problem which did not work, but did waste two more DVD disks.
I think the problem is iMovie and not iDVD. If I export the movie to quicktime the same out of sync thing happens.
Anyone else see this problem. Seems that there quite a few major bugs in iMovie3.

Is your captured audio in iMovie 12bit? You should use 16bit audio to avoid sync issues in movies over 30 minutes. This is a noted problem in the Apple KBase.

Thank You very much for your post. Many of the people in our User Group thank you. Just being able to go back to iMovie2 will be an improvement.
