Importing video via USB

Is there any known shareware or 3rd party app to import video from a USB only camcorder?

Unfortunately it only connects to a 4-Pin FireWire port but maybe there's an adaptor available.

Sounds like you need a driver... these might be worth a shot, but generally iMovie and Final Cut are made to work with FireWire Mini DV cams....

To my knowledge if you want to import video from a camcorder to a Mac/PC you need to use firewire. You can only import photo's via USB. You might want to double check if your camcorder has 4 pin or 6 pin firewire port. All camcorders I've come across all have a firewire port either a 4 or 6 pin. Also all the popular video editing applications I've used on both PC and Mac can only import movies via firewire.
