Incompatible applications: app=XXX targetApp=com.apple.Safari

These are cropping up all over in my Console Messages. For the past few days, my Mac has started intermittently freezing so I'm snooping around for the problem.

Does anyone know why I'd be getting Incompatible applications: app=XXXX targetApp=com.apple.Safari

XXX is many things: com.apple.Stickies, GrowlHelperApp, systemevents, skype, openoffice.stricp, consol, firefox, mail,....

Every application I launch causes this.

My platform is a MacBook Pro, 4GB, OSX 10.5.7, latest updates installed circa 8/4/09.
 
I think it's a SIMBL plugin; I have been seeing the same thing and I deleted /Library/InputManagers/CTLoader - something Vuze installed recently. Seems better now.
